The Process Of Making A Man
MEN ARE MADE NOT BORN!
No matter how refined the mining process is it at best produces iron - BUT - swords must be made. And their making (as the process described below clearly shows) is much, much more than just one step. Much, much more than pounding a piece of iron into the shape of a sword, sharpening it, heating it red hot and plunging it quickly into water. Like swords, making a man is a process - much, much more than just one easy step.
Contrary to popular belief, men are made, not born. Males are born but history, reality, dysfunctional living, and so many other disciplines and experiences make it plain that merely being born male is not enough for production of a man at physical, mental, psychological, spiritual, and cultural maturity.
God made Adam - not birthed him. And God made Adam in the image of God. Males are made into men - fallen, broken, whatever they may become - but men are made. Men in the image of God are - not surprisingly - made not born. Even the "new birth" does not make a male into a man in the image of God. Maturity in the faith life is a process not a mere birth. Men are made not born!
